Overview
Nestled in the heart of Vienna, Hotel Royal on Singerstraße feels like a sophisticated sanctuary amidst the bustling city. Honestly, the moment I stepped off the street into the lobby, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles, making me feel right at home.
You know what, the location is actually quite fantastic. Just a stone’s throw from the iconic St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Hotel Royal offers a perfect vantage point to explore Vienna’s rich history and culture. The hotel’s address on Singerstraße is well-known among locals, and it’s a street that’s buzzing with life, especially during the summer months when the outdoor cafes are filled with laughter and the air is filled with the aroma of freshly baked pastries.
The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with a touch of Viennese charm. I mean, the attention to detail is impressive – from the soft linens to the modern artwork adorning the walls. The soundproof windows were a godsend, especially during the busy festival season when the city’s streets come alive with music and revelry. Yet, behind those windows, it was a peaceful retreat.
One thing I appreciated was the check-in experience. It was quick, and the staff were more than happy to share insider tips on where to find the best Sacher-Torte in town – a must-try for any visitor. Parking can be a bit of a challenge in the inner city, but the hotel offers a reasonable valet service, which was a lifesaver given the narrow, historic streets.
Honestly, the rating of 8.8 feels spot on. There were a few minor hiccups, like the Wi-Fi being a bit temperamental at times, but the overall experience was delightful. If you’re looking for a base to explore Vienna’s rich tapestry of history, art, and music, Hotel Royal is a solid choice. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s a gateway to experiencing the best of what Vienna has to offer.

Guest Reviews
This is on behalf of my parents, both over 70, who stayed here for 1 night.
They arrived at 7 am from India and were prepared to leave their luggage and sit in the lobby for a few hours before venturing outside. Imagine their surprised when their room was ready for checkin , at no extra charge!
The superior double room was on the top floor, very spacious and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable.
What struck them most was the courtesy, professionalism and friendliness of the staff.
As a cherry on the cake, they even extended their checkout time.
And, of course, the location was absolutely incredible!
Everything! Location is center of the center, 100 m from the metro, very convenient and fast to travel anywhere. Good breakfast, nice room, beds. Special thanks to Julia, she was very helpful. The guys at the restaurant are just amazing, they made our day with their kind and warm attitude, one of the best memories of our stay in Vienna, wonderful people!
Great breakfast.
Central Location

Clean & cosy spacious room with very comfortable bed
Great location, warm room, nice view, delicios breakfast with many options.
Very good central location, staff are friendly & helpful. Room is clean and spacious.
The hotel has an amazing location, allowing to get to know the city by foot. Besides, if there is need to access the subway, it's very close to the hotel, which was very advantageous. The staff was very friendly, giving us information about the city whenever we needed and providing a list of the Christmas markets and their locations (one of the reasons for our trip!). I was lucky enough to spend my birthday in Vienna and the hotel staff was very kind surprising me with an amazing birthday cake.
Very, very good location. Ok breakfast. You have a food store and MC donalds 30 meters from the hotell if you want to save in on the breaksfast. Room and staff was very good based on the price range
Location is the best in town. Big rooms.
