Overview
You know what, the first time I walked into Hotel Regina in Vienna, I felt like I’d stepped into a cozy, slightly old-world European aunt’s living room. It’s on Rooseveltplatz, a quiet, tree-lined square in the Alsergrund district, and honestly, it’s got that classic Viennese charm down pat. The building itself is a beautiful, ornate piece of architecture that’s been around since the early 1900s, and you can feel the history as soon as you step inside.
What makes Hotel Regina special, though, is the balance it strikes between old-world elegance and modern comfort. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with high ceilings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The beds are super comfy, and the linens are top-notch – you know, the kind that make you want to just burrow in and stay all day. The bathrooms are sleek and modern, with powerful showers that are a godsend after a long day of exploring the city.
But it’s the little details that make a stay here feel special. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they’ve got all the local knowledge you could want – they were able to recommend some fantastic off-the-beaten-path cafes and restaurants that were a real treat. The breakfast buffet is a sight to behold, with an incredible array of pastries, cheeses, and meats that will have you spoiled for choice. And the location is pretty unbeatable – it’s just a short walk to the Volksoper opera house and the beautiful Schönbrunn Palace gardens.
So, if you’re looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, with a touch of Viennese history and a whole lot of comfort, Hotel Regina is definitely worth considering. It’s not the cheapest option in town, but the quality and the location make it a solid choice. Plus, the neighborhood is quiet and safe, and parking is relatively easy to find, which is a big plus in a city like Vienna. I mean, it’s not just a hotel – it’s an experience.
The concierge service in Vienna can arrange exclusive tours of Schönbrunn Palace, secure tickets to Vienna State Opera performances, and organize personalized visits to the UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

Guest Reviews
Had a wonderful experience at this classy hotel near the amazing Votive Church. Very friendly and helpful staff. The Roth Restaurant, which is part of Hotel Regina, was excelent too.
Location, breakfast, room, proximity to trams and underground.
Great location for the Christmas markets.
I celebrated my 40st birthday staying at the hotel and the manager offered me a small, very beautiful chocolate cake.
The location was great, the breakfast was good, the staff were helpful
Very spacious room and excellent location. Has everything you need. The coffee machine was well received. Pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and amenities were great. The room was very dark at night, it blocks out a lot of light.
Location fab, traditional and clean
