Overview
Tucked away on Taborstrasse, the Florum Hotel is a 4-star gem in Vienna’s Leopoldstadt district that I stumbled upon during my last trip to the city. Honestly, it’s not one of those hotels you’d spot from afar, but once you’re there, you’ll realize it’s got a charm all its own. The rating of 7.5 is spot on – it’s not the Ritz, but it’s comfortable and has a certain je ne sais quoi that makes it stand out.
You know what, the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by this warm, homey scent that somehow reminded me of freshly baked bread – it was quite inviting. The lobby had these lush, velvety couches that looked so comfortable; I mean, I could’ve just curled up there with a book and a cup of coffee. The staff at the check-in were friendly and efficient, making the whole process a breeze.
The location is pretty ideal, too. It’s a stone’s throw from the Prater, which is a must-visit if you’re in Vienna – those giant ferris wheel views are something else. Plus, if you’re a foodie, you’ll love that you’re just around the corner from some of the best local eateries. There’s this little bakery on the next street that has the most amazing apple strudel – it’s worth getting lost in the neighborhood for.
Now, about the rooms – they’re spacious and spotless, with these big windows that let in a ton of natural light. The beds are comfy, and the linens are high-quality, which is a big plus if you’re planning on some serious R&R. The only minor critique I have is that the walls are a bit thin, so if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to request a room at the back, away from the main street.
In terms of timing, I found it to be pretty quiet during the week, but it does get busier on weekends, especially during the summer months when tourists flock to the city. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but there’s a garage nearby that’s reasonably priced.
So, if you’re looking for a hotels in Vienna, that’s cozy, well-located, and offers a touch of local flavor without breaking the bank, the Florum Hotel is definitely worth considering. It’s not the flashiest place in town, but it’s got a heart and a personality that you’ll remember long after you’ve left.

Guest Reviews
Very good location, friendly staff and comfortable rooms.
Room and location
The space of the room and also location it was ok
Big room in great location
The location was perfect since it was only 15 minutes away from the city center (Stephansplatz) by walking, and there was also a tram stop & metro station pretty close. The room was big with benefits like a comfortable bed, hairdryer, body wash, body milk, etc. Finally and most importantly, the staff was very friendly, especially a girl named Maria Dolores, who always rushed to help me when some small issues occurred, and also suggested me nice places to go.
Nice hotel, clean and very large rooms.
The room with enough space, comfortable
The location although not central but there is public transport less than 5 min to the whole city.
The cleanliness of the room was very clean
Breakfast fast was plentiful. However we thought it was included in the price of the room…
Good location, friendly staff.
Comfortable bed, modern design and very clean room, pet friendly, excellent location near city center
