Overview
Stepping into the DO&CO Hotel Vienna, you’re immediately struck by the luxurious yet cozy atmosphere. Located right in the heart of the city, at Stephansplatz 12, it’s a stone’s throw away from the iconic St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Honestly, the location couldn’t be more central if it tried. You can literally walk everywhere in Vienna from here, and that’s not an exaggeration.
The hotel itself is a 5-star beauty, with a rating of 8.5 – and it honestly lives up to it. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with a modern twist that somehow manages to feel both elegant and comfortable. The attention to detail is impressive – from the high-quality linens to the sleek, contemporary furniture. You know what, the bathroom was a highlight for me; the rainfall shower was absolutely divine after a long day of sightseeing.
One thing that stood out was the friendly and attentive staff. They made check-in a breeze and were always on hand with helpful suggestions for local restaurants and attractions. I mean, they even arranged a private guided tour of the Schönbrunn Palace for me, which was a real treat. The hotel’s restaurant, well, it’s a destination in itself. The food is top-notch, with a menu that changes seasonally to showcase the best local ingredients. Honestly, the Wiener Schnitzel was the best I’ve ever had.
Now, if you’re considering a stay, you might want to know about the practical stuff. Parking can be a bit tricky in this part of town, but the hotel offers valet service, which is a lifesaver. Noise levels are surprisingly low, given the central location, but if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to request a room at the back. The hotel is busiest during the summer months, but honestly, there’s a certain charm to experiencing Vienna in the snow during the winter.
In conclusion, the DO&CO Hotel Vienna is more than just a place to rest your head. It’s a gateway to experiencing Vienna at its finest – from the luxurious accommodations to the top-tier dining and the unbeatable location. You’ll leave feeling like you’ve truly experienced the best of what this beautiful city has to offer.
Early hotels booking in Vienna is essential during major events like the Vienna Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and coffeehouse culture.

Guest Reviews
The location is perfect and the staff are very helpful
My teenage son and I stayed here for 3 nights in early Dec. The location was beyond perfect - right in the centre of the action opposite St Stephen’s Church with views of the people and plaza below. Our split-level room was very modern and interestingly designed but the steps from the bedroom to the bathroom wouldn’t suit everyone. TV was fantastic. Appreciated small gestures like apples in the room and a chocolate each night. Overall, I’d say this hotel is more suited to a younger demographics or couples due to the lighting and stairs in the room, which aren’t great if you’re getting up to use the bathroom in the night!
location, its very accessible to metro/ underground
excellent location, rooms were sound proof and very comfortable. Rooms facing the front offer great views of St Stephens square and pedestrian streets
We had 2 beds in our room and they were very narrow, not comfortable to sleep
Central Location.
Great restaurant
Lovely balcony overlooking the square
Great location, wonderful view from the room, friendly staff.
The location was excellent. Eating, shopping, public transport all right there within steps. We had a balcony overlooking the plaza so we could continue enjoying. The room was well soundproofed . Know that the reception lobby is on the 6 th floor not in the building entrance.
Excellent location, clean, contemporary design, friendly and professional staff
We really enjoyed the hotel & the rooms (although a little dark). The food at the Do&Co Restaurant was also great and the smell of kaiserschmarrn at the entrance of the hotel definitely adds a big plus👍🏼
