Overview
I remember pulling up to Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn Wien, and I was immediately impressed by the modern, sleek exterior – it really stands out on Hietzinger Hauptstraße, amidst the more traditional Viennese architecture. You know, it’s a 4-star hotel, but honestly, it feels more like a boutique retreat. The rating of 8.8 is well-deserved, in my opinion.
The location is actually quite convenient – just a stone’s throw from the famous Schönbrunn Palace, and the nearby Hietzing train station makes it a breeze to get around Vienna. I mean, it’s not just a hotel, it’s a gateway to exploring the city’s rich history and culture. The neighborhood itself is quite peaceful, which was a pleasant surprise considering it’s in a bustling city like Vienna. You won’t have to worry about noisy streets or late-night revelry here.
Checking in was a breeze – the staff were friendly and efficient, which set a positive tone for my stay. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with a modern touch that doesn’t feel out of place in this historic city. I particularly loved the sound of the rain against the window on a quiet afternoon – it was oddly comforting and added to the overall charm of the hotel.
The hotel’s restaurant, well, it’s sort of a hidden gem. They serve a mean Wiener Schnitzel, and the local wines are not to be missed. It’s a great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. You know what, it’s the little things that make this place special – like the complimentary coffee in the lobby, or the way the staff remember your name.
In terms of practicalities, there’s ample parking, which is a godsend in a city where space can be at a premium. The hotel is busiest during the summer months when tourists flock to see the palace, but even then, it never feels overcrowded. If I were to recommend this hotel, it would be for its balance of comfort, convenience, and that homely touch that makes you feel right at home in a foreign city. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s a base for your Viennese adventure.

Guest Reviews
Every little thing in this hotel was remarkable. We truly enjoyed. The room was spacious, very clean, stylish and comfortable. We stayed in the executive room and even had a small balcony with really nice city view.
Location is great in the Hietzing district, really close to Schönbrunn Palace. The district itself is renown for its greenery and historical buildings.
Overall, we couldn't find anything that we didn't like. The place is ideal for couples and families who are looking for a quiet accommodation with still more than good access to major attractions or the city centre.
The location is very good and quiet (exactly one metro stop away from the Schoenbrunn palace)! The hotel is elegant, truly "chic", and the rooms are comfortable!
There are a lot of good restaurants and great cafes in the area!
Brilliant location across from Schönbrunn Palace. Nice cafe/restaurants nearby.
Cafe at hotel also very good.
2 staff members were standouts, namely
Patricia and Renatae.
Everything. Ideal position for Schonnbrun Palace and loved walking in the Palace gardens which are open to the public... the entrance was opposite the hotel. Staff very welcoming .
Everything
Nice facilities and close to the metro station so it's well connected. The beds were really comfy too!
The hotel is well situated beside the train station to take you into Vienna. The area around the hotel is also nice with access to shops, supermarket, restaurants, cafes and easy access into palace gardens. If returning to Vienna we would stay here again as it is a great hotel at a very reasonable price.
The location was great. The room and bathroom were spacious and the bed really comfortable.
It was my birthday during my stay and the stuff was very nice, they brought a card and some fruit and chocolates. We did not have breakfast included but the Schlosscafe downstairs offers a very good breakfast for a very good price.
