Overview
Tucked away in the 16th district of Vienna, the Austria Trend Hotel Schloss Wilhelminenberg Wien is a hidden gem that I stumbled upon during my travels. I remember pulling up to Savoyenstraße 2, and honestly, the first thing that struck me was the stunning architecture. It’s not every day you see a hotel that looks like a castle, you know? The 4-star rating and 8.7 score lived up to my expectations, and then some.
You know what really stands out about this place? The staff. They were so welcoming and attentive, making the check-in process a breeze. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with a touch of modern luxury that didn’t feel out of place in the historic setting. I mean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view from my window was nothing short of breathtaking – I could see the lush Wilhelminenberg park, which is a great spot for a leisurely stroll.
If you’re a foodie, the on-site restaurant is a must-try. The chef uses local ingredients to create dishes that are both innovative and delicious. And the best part? It’s not just about the taste – the presentation is a work of art. I remember having a dish that was almost too pretty to eat, but trust me, you won’t be able to resist.
As for the location, it’s sort of a hidden treasure. It’s not right in the heart of the city, but it’s close enough to everything you’d want to see. You can easily hop on the U4 metro line at Ottakring and be in the city center in no time. And if you’re driving, there’s ample parking nearby, which is a godsend in a city like Vienna.
In terms of timing, I’d say spring and early summer are the best times to visit. The park is in full bloom, and the city is buzzing with life. But honestly, any time of year has its charms. Just be prepared for the occasional rain shower – it is Vienna, after all.
So why should you care about the Austria Trend Hotel Schloss Wilhelminenberg Wien? Well, if you’re looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, with a touch of luxury and a lot of heart, this is it. It’s a place where you can unwind, enjoy the local cuisine, and explore the city at your own pace. And that, my friends, is what travel is all about.

Guest Reviews
The property is very well located, the staff are amazing, very polite. I let a comment about my birthday while my time with them, and they kindly left me a card plus fruits and it was very good. The room was big enough, the bed was very comfortable and also the duvet and pillows.
I enjoyed a lot this hotel and I plan to stay again when travelling to Vienna. No problem at all, everything worked and it was amazing staying. I highly recommend it.
Look of the hotel, good location, very comfortable, enormous parking, large rooms, nice view, close to the public transport, clean, good facilities. Bathroom was new and clean.
The view and surroundings
It is a very nice hotel close to the center.
Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, very nice staff, a lot of free parking, and beautiful building and decoration.
The rooms are beautiful, with high ceilings and a bedroom on the upper floor. The bed could have been more comfortable. The hotel was full, and at breakfast, they couldn't keep up with the demand for food, which was constantly running out. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The building is really beautiful, the food was great and the staff was helpful. The center is only 30mins far by public transportation.
The room was very clean. I like that toothpaste and other things for personal care were also available in addition to shower gels. Very tasty and varied breakfast.
The location is charming: an old palace turned into a hotel, but which has kept some decorations and halls. Our room was very cute, with a bunkbed in a very high room, accessible by a tall staircase. Loved the bunkbed idea.
The breakfast is always varied and delicious and the staff friendly. It is served in a beautifully decorated room.
You can reach the city center by bus and train.
