Overview
Tucked away on a quiet side street in Josefstadt, the aeki CITY hotel is a 4-star gem that’s actually got a lot going for it. I remember walking up Lenaugasse 2 and feeling a sense of calm wash over me, a stark contrast to the bustling city center just a stone’s throw away. Honestly, it’s the perfect base for exploring Vienna without feeling overwhelmed by the crowds.
Stepping inside, the lobby had this warm, contemporary feel to it – you know, the kind of place that invites you to settle in with a good book or a cup of coffee. The staff at check-in were friendly and efficient, which sort of set the tone for the rest of my stay. I mean, it’s the little things, right? The rooms were spacious, with these large windows that let in a ton of natural light, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. You’ll sleep like a baby here.
What makes aeki CITY stand out, though, is its proximity to some of Vienna’s best-kept secrets. Just around the corner on Bailamstraße, there’s this fantastic little bakery that smells like heaven in the mornings. And if you’re a fan of parks, the Volksgarten is a short stroll away, with its beautiful rose gardens and quiet corners perfect for a leisurely afternoon read. In terms of noise levels, don’t worry – the hotel’s location on a side street means it’s pretty peaceful, even during the busy tourist seasons.
So, why should you care about aeki CITY? Well, if you’re looking for a hotel that feels like a home away from home, with friendly service, comfortable rooms, and a location that’s close to the action but far enough away to give you some peace and quiet, this is your spot. It’s not just about the rating of 8.7 or the 4 stars – it’s about the experience, and aeki CITY delivers that in spades.

Guest Reviews
The host was wonderful and very responsive. The apt was exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is amazing; close to a grocery store, many restaurants, tram stop and you can walk to some of the main attractions.
The host was very thoughtful to provide my son a box of toys to make his stay more enjoyable. She was also very informative and helpful. The apartment was in a nice area and very spacious
The host was proactive and responsive.
They even provided an iPhone charger after we advised needing one.
Most places in Vienna are a walk away.
Enormous windows.
Really nice and comfortable, good location.
The location is one of the best in Vienna. I have lived in Vienna and visited many times, staying in different neighborhoods. What's great about this neighborhood is that it is a real Viennese neighborhood, and a beautiful one, just outside the Ring (very central.) The Cafe below is popular with Viennese, not touristy, and we experienced good customer service there. The giant apartment worked well for our family of four. The cost-free laundry was a special unexpected bonus, as were the few condiments and coffee in the cupboard. I loved the "Altbau" style of staying in an aparment hundreds of years old.

I recently stayed at aeki CITY and I must say it was a good experience. The beds were providing a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring. The house itself was incredibly spacious and comfortable; there were three of us plus a child, and we all felt right at home. The kitchen was clean, which made preparing meals a breeze. Moreover, its convenient location within walking distance to the city center allowed us to easily explore the area's attractions and dining options. The transportation options were also very convenient, making it effortless to get around the city. Overall, I highly recommend aeki CITY for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Vienna.
