This world-renowned attraction, boasting an exceptional rating of 4.8, invites guests to immerse themselves in the grandeur of one of Europe’s most impressive Baroque palaces and the renowned collections of the Belvedere Museum.
Constructed in the early 18th century, the Belvedere Palace was once the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy, a brilliant military strategist and renowned patron of the arts. Today, this UNESCO World Heritage site stands as a testament to the opulence and architectural prowess of the Baroque era, with its meticulously manicured gardens, ornate fountains, and breathtaking facades adorned with intricate sculptures and ornaments.
As visitors step through the palace’s ornate gates, they are immediately transported to a bygone era, where the echoes of history whisper from every corner. The tour begins with an exploration of the Upper Belvedere, a magnificent structure that serves as the primary museum, housing an unparalleled collection of Austrian art and treasures.
The highlights of the Upper Belvedere include the magnificent Marble Hall, a stunning example of Baroque opulence, with its towering ceilings, ornate chandeliers, and exquisite marble décor. Visitors can admire the remarkable collection of works by renowned Austrian artists, such as Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, and Oskar Kokoschka, whose iconic paintings and drawings captivate the senses and offer a window into the artistic soul of the nation.
The journey continues with a visit to the Lower Belvedere, a secondary palace that once served as the Prince’s private residence. Here, visitors can explore the grand reception rooms, adorned with magnificent frescoes and opulent furnishings, as well as the charming Orangery, a serene greenhouse-like space that once housed the prince’s exotic plant collection.
One of the most breathtaking aspects of the Belvedere Palace and Museum Tour is the opportunity to wander through the meticulously maintained gardens, which offer a peaceful respite from the bustling city. Visitors can stroll along the perfectly manicured pathways, admiring the ornate fountains, intricate sculptures, and stunning vistas that stretch out towards the historic city center.

The Belvedere Palace and Museum Tour also offers a unique opportunity to explore the Belvedere 21, a contemporary art museum located just a short distance from the main palace.
